I got Mimi when I was 11. She officially became "mine" with my name on her papers on my 18th birthday.
2. Have more than one horse.
POA World in 1997 and 2002; POA International 1998.
4. Win a POA International and/or World class.
5. Own an Arabian.
6. Compete in Scottsdale Arabian Show.
7. Train my own horse from scratch.
8. Get first AERC LD Mileage patch.
9. Get first AERC Endurance mileage patch.
10. Reach 1000 endurance miles as a rider.
11. Get an endurance horse to 1000 miles.
12. Get an endurance horse to 3000 miles.
13. Be in the AERC year-end regional awards standings for either mileage or points, even just once. :)
14. Win the AERC War Mare award.
15. Ride Tevis.
16. Finish Tevis.
Started distance riding in 2001. Last show was 2002.
Descanso 2007, Horsemanship with a 100 +-.
19. Ride in the Open division in NATRC.

Started trimming all by myself in summer 2009.
Went bare in fall 2004 and haven't looked back since.
Some days I can't believe she's the same pony. Her feet have grown at least a size, and she has beautiful, strong walls now and is developing great concavity to her sole. And she's bare.
I have really good friends that have made this goal easy. After riding one horse for 15 years, I need to get out of that comfort zone every so often.
36. Do a Ride-N-Tie.
37. See the Grand Canyon from horseback -- Grand Canyon XP.
38. Get one of the pretty yellow XP jackets for riding all the days of an XP ride.
39. Ride the same horse on all the days of a 3-day multi-day.
40. Travel out-of-state for endurance rides.

My trainer had a POA that was pro-trained as a reiner. Waaay fun.

Australia, summer 2004. Spent two days riding an Anglo-Arab endurance mare in the rainforest and on the beach, including racing on the beach.
